The survey is now closed.
More than 3,200 of you shared your feedback, helping us provide an objective framework for continually assessing the effectiveness of campus departments and capturing the voice of the customer to guide improvements.
Survey reports will be available in early to mid-December. Please contact the appropriate survey liaison for each department for questions about the reports.
The annual Academic and Staff Customer Satisfaction Survey has been used at UC San Diego since 1994.
The purpose of this survey is to provide an objective framework for continually assessing the effectiveness of campus administrative services and capturing the voice of the customer to guide improvements.
The survey helps departments answer important questions, such as:

All faculty and staff are eligible to take the survey. If you did not receive an invitation and would like to participate in the survey, please contact customersatsurvey@ucsd.edu.
Individual responses are confidential and no responses will be connected with individuals. One of the most important reasons for doing whole-population survey, and allowing respondents to choose departments to rate, is to maximize the chances of getting large enough sub-samples to create meaningful recommendations at the department-level.
A "customer" is any stakeholder of UC San Diego’s mission and success. Academics, administrative staff, and students are all customers of the services that are provided by campus departments such as Payroll, Parking, Police, the Bookstore, etc. Every individual on campus has a personal stake in the mission and vision of UC San Diego.
Your valuable feedback on the survey enables departments to know if they are achieving these goals and as such, all employees at UC San Diego are valuable customers, as well as colleagues.
