Department Description
Academic Personnel Services Academic Personnel Services facilitates the recruitment, appointment, advancement, and retention of the most qualified and diverse faculty and academic appointees possible. APS provides leadership and oversight of academic policy and procedure, compensation and data initiatives, labor and employee relations and training & leadership development, all within the principles of shared governance and in a manner that supports the academic goals and objectives of the Administration and Academic Senate consistent with UCSD’s Principles of Community.
Building Maintenance & Operations The Building Maintenance & Operations Division of Facilities Management provides services that maintain, repair and enhance campus academic buildings and facilities.
Campus Sustainability Utilities & Sustainability (U&S) is responsible for overseeing and implementing sustainable practices and policies across the university, with a focus on decarbonization, climate resilience, and campus engagement. U&S advances the campus sustainability strategy and fosters a culture of environmental responsibility through strategic initiatives such as climate action planning, sustainability reporting, Green Programs, Climate Conversations, and Earth Week.
Campus Utilities Enterprise The Utilities Enterprise is a self-supporting unit within OMCP serving both the campus community and multiple off-site locations. The Utilities Enterprise is responsible for providing reliable, cost effective and sustainable utility services to the campus. 
Capital Program Management

CPM is charged with delivery of the UC San Diego Capital Program. CPM is responsible for project management, budget and schedule, permitting and inspection services. CPM supports the entirety of the Capital Improvement Program @ UC San Diego by ensuring cost containment, communication, and customer services throughout the course of design and construction. 

Custodial Services The Custodial Services division of Facilities Management provides cleaning and specialty maintenance services to core Academic spaces on campus and as needed for recharge customers.
Early Childhood Education Center (ECEC) ECEC is accredited with the National Association for Young Children and provides high quality care and learning experiences for young children aged 3 months to 5 years.
Emergency Operations Center (EOC) EOC develops and initiates operational strategies for managing emergencies and critical situations on campus. The EOC acts as an awareness and coordination center by analyzing information and providing guidance to students, staff, and faculty. EM and the EOC are involved in risk management & mitigation, and the development of protective actions.
Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) EH&S supports UC San Diego's students, researchers, patients and staff by managing risk and providing safety-related services including General Safety, Fire Marshal's Office, Public Health inspections, Research Safety, Radiation Safety, Environmental Affairs, and hazardous waste management.
Fleet Services The Fleet Services Division of Transportation Services strives to provide the highest quality service, while operating the most sustainable and environmentally friendly fleet and repair facility possible.
Human Resources Campus Human Resources (HR) provides campus employees with the full range of personnel services and participates in systemwide policy and decision-making.  Through the People Proposition, HR strives to create a culture of Equity, Inclusion, Care, Growth, & Purpose for all employees at UC San Diego.
Institutional Research The UC San Diego's Institutional Research office collects, analyzes, and interprets a wide variety of data for the purposes of assessing institutional outcomes, measuring institutional performance against strategic planning goals, comparative analysis with peer institutions, and reporting to campus constituencies and external agencies.
International Services and Engagement Office (ISEO) ISEO provides services and engagement opportunities that are open to all, with a focus on our international faculty, research scholars, staff, students and families.
Landscape Services and Waste Management The Landscape Services  and Waste Management division of Facilities Management provides an aesthetically pleasing landscape conducive to learning and working & ensures removal of waste from the University and beyond in a sustainable manner.
Library The Library provides UC San Diego with information resources and services tailored to meet campus needs. The Library provides access to more than 7 million scholarly and educational resources and provides services that enable faculty, students and staff to effectively discover, evaluate and use these and other materials. The Library manages the Geisel and WongAvery Library buildings in support of campus teaching, learning, and scholarship.
Parking and Commute Solutions Parking and Commuter Services is responsible for parking and transit pass sales, parking operations, micromobility, and EV charging.
Police/Public Safety The UC San Diego Police Department is a diverse organization dedicated to providing the highest quality police service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
Project Management, Facilities Management The Project Management Division of Facilities Management completes and/or coordinates renovation or alteration projects by our in-house small projects team or by using an outside contractor and/or consultant for larger projects.
Risk Management Office Risk Management reduces financial loss and prevents injuries through programs such as Workers' Compensation, the Return-to-Work program, General Liability, Employment Practice Liability, automotive and property insurance, the UC Travel Insurance program, and ergonomics evaluations and training.
Saltaire Catering by UC San Diego Saltaire Catering by UC San Diego is a full-service catering and event planning company dedicated to providing you with exquisite cuisine and fantastic customer service. We offer a variety of menus and service options, for everything from boxed lunches to full-service plated dinners.
Scripps Institution of Oceanography Office of Contracts and Grants (SIO OCGA) The Scripps Institution of Oceanography Office of Contracts and Grants Administration (SIO-OCGA) is a full-service administrative unit within Scripps Oceanography responsible for the proposal reviews/submissions and award negotiations/acceptances for all federal and non-federal awards.  SIO-OCGA is also responsible for Service Agreements, Material Transfer Agreements, Data Use Agreements, Unfunded Collaborations, and all Outgoing Subawards for SIO. 
Sponsored Projects Finance (SPF) Sponsored Projects Finance (SPF) oversees the financial management of UC San Diego's federal, state, and private contracts and grants. We advise on matters of financial compliance and proper cost accounting. Other functions include financial reporting, cash management, accounts receivable oversight, effort reporting, review and approval of expense transfers, and cost share monitoring and reporting.
Sponsored Projects Office (SPO) The Sponsored Projects Office (SPO) serves the UC San Diego Research Community with high-quality expertise to support sponsored research administration, including proposal submission, (non-financial) award management, client experience and training services, system designs, business process improvement, and research enterprise contracts and grant business intelligence. As UC San Diego’s authorized official office, SPO submits proposals, negotiates and accepts awards, and submits (non-financial) reports or requests to sponsors when required to come from an authorized official, while principal investigators and department research administrators prepare proposals and manage day-to-day award activities as SPO’s primary customers. Our mission is to provide exceptional support to our research faculty and staff by facilitating proposals, contracts, grants, and other activities to maximize extramural funding to enable groundbreaking research and improve society. Our vision is to be recognized as a top-performing research-focused office by solving complex problems for our researchers and providing innovative, efficient, and effective services to research administrators.
Teaching and Learning Commons UC San Diego's Teaching and Learning Commons offers a wide range of programs and services to assist all members of the UC San Diego community in developing positive learning environments through innovative teaching practices and experiences that encourage engagement and foster student and faculty success.
Triton Print & Digital Media - Campus Copier Services Provides departments with Multi-Functional Devices (copy, print, scan, fax) on a contract basis, including all service, supplies and paper commensurate with the specific usage.
Triton Print & Digital Media - Print & Copy Centers Provides a full menu of print, copy, design, and other services for faculty, staff, students and guests from three campus locations.
Triton Transit Triton Transit provides intracampus and intercampus mobility (shuttles, on-demand, and cart services), including specialized services for individuals with limited mobility. IMPORTANT NOTE: Regional Transportation projects, City street widening and on-campus construction projects have and will continue to affect traffic on and off the campus for the next 3 to 4 years. Both Parking and Triton Transit will continually adjust to accommodate the needs of our riders as these impacts are known. Changes in schedules, and service will be announced as early as possible to address your needs.
UC San Diego Bookstore The UC San Diego Bookstore offers UC San Diego staff, faculty, and students a wide range of merchandise and discounted prices on many products.
University Centers University Centers (Price Center and Student Center) supports the UC San Diego community with quality facilities, services, and programs that foster and enrich the campus experience and student learning.
